Quintessentially English village pub
The Red lion is a proper village pub in the heart of the charming village of Bomere Heath, set in beautiful Shropshire countryside between Baschurch and Shrewsbury. The village is complete with a primary school, a corner shop, post office, chip shop, hairdresser and of course our Brewery Tap the Red Lion Inn.
Our Tap is a quintessentially English village pub with all the hallmarks; roaring fires, cosy corners and comfy bench seating, gleaming brass and beautiful bespoke stained-glass windows lining the entrance, artfully restored by Paul Georgiou a master craftsman from Erdington.
At the centre of its community, the Red Lion hosts traditional pub games, including pool, darts and dominoes. The traditional lounge kept separate from the bar is the perfect spot to enjoy a quiet pint and the paper with traditional country furniture and a sprinkling of lovely reclaimed leather. A pub for all seasons and occasions the Tap showcases a large beer garden and terrace to the rear, hosting Summer barbecues and live music.
Always on Tap, Joule’s Pale Ale, Pure Blonde and our English craft lager Green Monkey, alongside our rotating seasonal ale and cold craft beer. All brewed in Market Drayton with pure Shropshire mineral water.
Super easy parking to the left of the pub in its own car park.
Don’t miss: the food, from classic pub grub to the delicious Sunday roast every week, just don’t forget to book…
