Snug and traditional with low beamed ceilings
Our Newport Taphouse is situated just off the High Street on Stafford Road 11 miles from the Brewery. Newport is famous for its ongoing success in ‘Britain in Bloom’ and is always a great destination to visit, the town sits near Aqualate Mere which is the largest natural lake in the Midlands.
An award winning and very friendly pub, the old bar is snug and traditional with low beamed ceilings, real log burners and lots of cosy corners to enjoy at the top end of the pub.
The newly extended Station Room, surrounds you with a mixture of beautiful glossy racing green slip bricks sourced from the very best of ‘the potteries’ H E Smith blended with traditional brick, enamel signs and wrought iron detailing. The Taphouse is a great place to enjoy traditional pub food, tucked away in the large leather upholstered booths or in the windows on beautiful antique furniture. Our Brewery Tap also has an extensive and beautifully kept beer garden to enjoy.
Always on Tap, Joule’s Pale Ale, Slumbering Monk, Pure Blonde and our English craft lager Green Monkey, alongside our rotating seasonal ale and cold craft beer. All brewed in Market Drayton with pure Shropshire mineral water.
Easy parking can be found across the road from the New Inn on the town’s public car park.
Don’t Miss a fantastic programme of events across the year including real ale festivals, gin festivals, live music on Sunday and Charity Fundraisers – often with the support of the Joule’s sponsored local cycling club the Nova Raiders.
