Proper pub with a traditional front bar and pub games
Chasetown developed in the mid-19th century as a coal mining village. At first the village was simply known as Cannock Chase due to its proximity to the nearby forest, but by 1867 it was known as Chasetown and is now home to our Brewery Tap the Miners Rest. Our community centred Taphouse is nestled on Highfields Road just a stone’s throw away from the M6.
The Miners’ is a proper pub with a traditional front bar and of course pub games, darts board, pool and TV for sport. The rear of the pub traditionally the posher end was extended in summer 2017 with leather booth seating and bespoke stained-glass windows honouring the pubs heritage and local mining community.
The large beer garden and terrace is great and super easy parking can be found at the rear of the pub. The Miners is very Dog friendly…
Always on Tap, Joule’s Pale Ale, Slumbering Monk, Pure Blonde and our English craft lager Green Monkey, alongside our rotating seasonal ale and cold craft beer. All brewed in Market Drayton with pure Shropshire mineral water.
Don’t miss the great summer BBQ’s out in the brilliant beer garden.
