Carefully restored historic Taphouse with cosy snugs and home to an array of interesting memorabilia
The Market Vaults snuggles onto one of Tamworth’s busiest streets. Located just off the High Street, down Market Street right in the hub of the town centre. Pay and display parking can be found easily just a 5 minute walk away at the Castle car park.
The Market Vaults carries a rich heritage and is rumoured to have tunnels linking directly to Tamworth Castle, where knights of the realm would slip off in the middle of the night for a tipple at the Vaults. It’s an important survivor of the small parlour pub complete with a vaulted cellar. Carefully restored with cosy snugs, that parlour pubs were so famous for, the Vaults is bob on, home to an array of interesting memorabilia and of course two inviting real fires at either end of the pub.
The Vaults is very dog-friendly and children are welcome until 6pm. You can find a large walled beer garden to the rear of the pub with undercover seating and stage area which features excellent live music events throughout the year, the perfect winter and summer pub.
Always on Tap, Joule’s Pale Ale, Slumbering Monk, Pure Blonde and our English craft lager Green Monkey, alongside our rotating seasonal ale and cold craft beer. All brewed in Market Drayton with pure Shropshire mineral water.
Don’t Miss the live music every Thursday evening, the perfect occasion to enjoy a pint of Joule’s Ale.
