We’re looking for an experienced Senior Sous Chef to support our Head Chef in leading the kitchen, driving consistency, and delivering high-quality food in a fast-paced, growing business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, ensuring high food standards & consistency.
  • Lead & train junior chefs and apprentices, developing a skilled and efficient team.
  • Ensure prep work is done efficiently, reducing reliance on lower-skilled staff.
  • Maintain stock control, ordering, and cost efficiency in line with GP targets.
  • Work with seasonal ingredients, developing dishes that complement the Joule’s Brewery beer range.
  • Ensure all food hygiene, safety, and kitchen cleanliness meet 5-star EHO standards
What We’re Looking For:
  • Experienced Sous or Senior Sous Chef – At least 2 years in a similar role within a fresh food kitchen.
  • Organised & Efficient – Able to manage prep, service, and staff training.
  • Passionate About Quality Food – You care about fresh, well-prepared dishes and developing creative menus.
  • Strong Leadership Skills – Confident in managing a busy service and developing a team.
  • Knowledge of Costing & GP Management – Understanding of stock control, ordering, and efficiency.
  • Keen Interest in Beer & Food Pairings – Bonus if you love Joule’s Brewery beers and want to create dishes that work with them!
