The Bricklayers Arms has officially been open for a month following its thoughtful development, and the feedback from the local community has been nothing short of incredible. With glowing reviews, a welcoming atmosphere, and nights so busy that there wasn’t an empty seat in sight when our team dropped by, the pub is quickly becoming a locals favourite.

Since reopening, Scott and Caroline Jenkins, the Bricklayers Arms new Landlords, have welcomed their local community, poured countless pints of Joule’s Beer, and created an atmosphere faces old and new can truly enjoy.

Anna Brakel, Development Director for Joule’s Brewery comments on the Bricklayers Project,

“It was important to us to give the Bricklayers some much needed TLC, after 10 years of fantastic trading, we also saw opportunity to create the new covered courtyard through stunning bifold doors—has been widely praised. The integration of indoor and outdoor spaces has made The Bricklayers the perfect spot for every occasion, whether it’s enjoying a pint of Joule’s on a sunny afternoon or soaking up the lively atmosphere indoors during live music nights.’’
“We’ve absolutely loved getting to know the locals and being part of such a wonderful community,” said Scott and Caroline. The Bricklayers has always had a special charm, and it’s been a real privilege to help build on that. Seeing the place so full of life, with people enjoying the new spaces and the atmosphere, has been incredibly rewarding for us. We’re delighted to be partnered with Joule’s Brewery and look forward to the Bricklayers Arms going from strength to strength”

In just one month, The Bricklayers has truly become the go-to destination for socialising, great entertainment, memorable pub experiences and of course great beer. From classic bar games like darts and shuffleboard to the return of its famous Sunday roast (coming soon), the pub continues to strike the perfect balance between respecting its historical charm and providing exciting new offerings.

With more to come from Scott, Caroline, and their team, including an expanded menu in the works, The Bricklayers Arms is on course to remain the heart of the community for years to come.
