Saturday 16th May sees Newport-based Nova Raiders Cycling Club host their annual ‘Route 66 Sportive’, with all club members sporting their new kit, which is sponsored by Market Drayton brewery, Joule’s. In addition to their close link with the Newport club, the brewery will be promoting the opening of The New Inn, which opens on 3rd June.
The annual Route 66 Sportive is expected to draw in numbers in excess of 300, with 200 riders already pre-registered online and takes riders through the Shropshire countryside that offers stunning views of the Wrekin and Shropshire plains.
This is the first year that Joule’s will be involved and to tie in with their latest sponsorship deal and to celebrate the opening of their Newport pub, The New Inn. All riders in the Sportive will receive complimentary beer vouchers to use at The New Inn throughout June.
Vouchers will be distributed at the registration point, which opens on the day from 8.30am at Longford Hall Sports Pavilion. The New Inn, located on Stafford Street, Newport, opens on Wednesday 3rd June from lunchtime.
