HMS Majestic’ Historical Painting Finds its Rightful Home

A unique celebration took place on Wednesday 29th April at the Mainwairing Arms, Whitmore to officially unveil a commissioned painting of HMS Majestic, placing it back in its rightful home.

Joule’s Brewery were recently appointed by the Whitmore Estate to manage the Mainwaring Arms in Whitmore and have carefully restored the charming historical country inn to its original surroundings.

The evening was very well recieved with Edward Mainwaring helping unveil the newly placed painting alongside Steve Nuttall.  With the painting in it's rightful place, on lookers were then treated to a talk from the artist John Martin on the history of HMS Majestic and Admiral Rowland Mainwaring.

Guests were also welcome to join in a Q&A session with the artist, creating a very special atmosphere and evening.
