Joule’s Ale house “The Coopers Tavern” have joined a crop of fantastic pubs up and down the country which have been recognised by CAMRA (Campaign for Real Ale) as on of the top 200 pubs in The United Kingdom.
This prestigious award is decided by volunteers from the real ale organisation who nominate their favourite establishment in the branches based on wide-ranging criteria.
Mary Shieldon, Joule’s Tenant (Pictured above) who has been at The Coopers Tavern for nine years said “I’m absolutely thrilled. It’s nice to know all the hard work that we put in to the pub has paid off. We keep it read here. We’ve got real beer and real cider.”
The Coopers Tavern in Burton is steeped in history, originally owned by William Bass, in it’s time it has been known as a brewer’s house, malt store and finally a magnificent pub. The Coopers Tavern serves its ales direct from barrel, having at least 4 cask ales available out of the tap from the back bar. (Pictured below)
