Silverdale Athletic FC reflect on what has been a fantastic season both on and off the pitch with Shropshire brewery Joule's bringing a new lease of life to both club and community centre during their first year of overall club sponsorship.
Silverdale Athletic Football Club look to mark the end of what has been a successful first season with new sponsors, Joule’s Brewery. The four-year deal, which began at the beginning of the 2014/15 season sees the Market Drayton brewery become the Silverdale-based club’s principal sponsor.
The club have enjoyed great success over the last season both on and off the pitch, with the Staffordshire County League side pushing for promotion and new clubhouse becoming an invaluable resource for Silverdale residents. On the subject of welcoming Joule’s on-board at the start of the season a club spokesman commented, “Joule’s sponsorship has been invaluable to the club, helping to turn the clubhouse into a social hub for local residents as much a permanent home from home for the members. The support the brewery have given to the club over the last season goes above and beyond being solely financial, with their business and technical assistance proving vital in maintaining the running of the club, the bar and the clubhouse as a whole”.
With the help of their Brewery sponsors, the club’s bar has been fully operational all year round, enabling for full catering and bar service for birthdays and celebrations, community group meetings as well as a social space for both club members and private parties.
The link between Silverdale and Joule’s is already well-established with The Crown, the village’s own Joule’s tap house, being many members’ local pub as well as the location where the club was founded back in 1980.
Trudie Meredith, Marketing Controller at Joule’s Brewery commented, “We have really enjoyed working with club over the last few months, they are great people and have such passion for the game and club community. The opening of the clubhouse was an exciting day & evening with a guest appearance from John Prescott who thoroughly enjoyed his pint of Joule’s. Community sponsorships play a huge part in our ongoing marketing strategy and the link to our much loved Joule’s House, The Crown has created & great local presence and brought the community back together again. After 35 years the club now has a permanent place to call home, which both we and the football club are extremely proud of”.
