This spring welcomes a brand new seasonal ale to Joule’s growing portfolio.  Launching on Friday 27th February 2015, the brewery’s team of dedicated brewers have created ‘Waterloo’, a golden ale that commemorates the 200th year anniversary of the historic battle itself.

The Battle of Waterloo, which took place in Brussels in 1815, saw Shropshire-born Lord Hill take charge of the 1st allied army, consisting of 10,000 men.  Born in Prees Hall, Prees in 1772, General Lord Hill is to this day one of the most distinguished field commanders in British Military history and offers a historic connection between the Brewery and the local area.

Golden in colour with a medium body and subtle malty background, Waterloo is one of Joule’s hoppier beers to date, but still retains the brewery’s renowned balance – the hops leaning away from sweetness but not overwhelmed with bitterness.  A sweet citrus and slightly spicy aroma rounds off this commemorative golden ale.

Waterloo is available from Friday 27th February at your local Joule’s house and all good Joule’s stockists.
