Market Drayton based Palethorpes have teamed up with Joule’s Brewery in the town to create an Ultimate Pie & Pint Treat for Market Drayton to enjoy at the ‘Christmas Festival of Lights Switch On’ event this Saturday, 23rd November.
The two local companies have formed a great working relationship over the last few years and have recently created the Asda Steak & Joule’s Ale Pie, which has been the hero piece in the Asda stores over the last month. Palethorpes have created and produced this premium tasty pie using the Brewery’s premium Ale, Joule’s Slumbering Monk.
The Pie and Pint event will be available throughout the day on Saturday 23rd, and available at two of the Joule’s houses in the town, The Brewery Tap, the Red Lion and the Lord Hill. For £5, you will be able to purchase a Steak & Joule’s Ale Pie, Chips, Peas and Gravy and a pint of your favourite Joule’s Ale. For every transaction a £1 will be donated to local Hospital, RSH, the children’s leukaemia ward, a charity that is very close to all our hearts.
Director of Sales & Marketing, Trudie Meredith commented, ‘we are delighted to announce this event for the second year running. Following a really successful day last year, we are really keen to make this a community event that the locals look out for and look forward to every year. Palethorpes have been extremely generous in donating the pies and we are busy in the brewery producing a few extra barrels for the day.
Brett Rogers, Palethorpes commented, ‘It is tough times at the moment for all businesses so it’s great to see a local good news story. We have a great relationship with Joule’s and the locality of the Brewery provides us with enormous flexibility and the ability to work closely together on important projects. Despite being a small brewery they have enormous expertise in brewing and are very well organised. And of course share the same values of passion and commitment to our respective products’.
The Red Lion team will be giving out the Pie & Pint leaflets throughout market day on Wednesday and also on the day at the Christmas Market.
